Program Description: This program is intended as an introduction and/or refresher on “high titer low avidity” (HTLA) reactivity that often present a challenge to identify and work around. Within the lecture portion of the program, learners will receive background on the blood group antigens associated with these tricky reactivity patterns. Learners will also be presented with methods and techniques used in the laboratory to identify these antibodies. Case studies will conclude the session to provide examples of how these antibodies may present within a patient case.
